About Luisa

My interest in photography started when my father gave me a camera for my 16th birthday. I took this camera with me through the Queensland College of Art where I studied my Bachelor of Photography majoring in Art Photography. I love capturing people at their finest and that is when they are being real, emotional and joyful. True moments like these occur plentifully around weddings, births and whenever kindred people join in celebration. As a photographer it is with great pleasure that I record these moments and by not stopping to pose them I capture fleeting and profound gestures of gentleness, kindness, joy, love. I do so in an unobtrusive way, tagging along like a friend. I find it really rewarding to be able to make people feel comfortable enough around me to be themselves and I believe this really shows in my photographs.

My work is described as elegant, romantic, fun, quirky and I have been described as friendly, warm and enthusiastic. I have 15 years experience in shooting weddings in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Noosa, Byron Bay, Toowoomba and country Queensland. Very simply this means that I bring to your day a great deal of experience both in photography and in everything from pinning up fallen hair to removing tyre black from the bridesmaids legs. I think I have seen everything. Because of this I am also very calming and professional.

Hi Luisa,

I just felt I should let you know what fabulous comments we’ve been getting from our friends and family about your photos of our wedding! A few people have said that they are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen and words such as gorgeous,
amazing and stunning are frequently said. They also like the fun one we did with the guys jumping and all of us doing different poses. You were right to do most of the photos at Stuartholme as it was a fantastic location and all the browns and golds in the building went so well with our gold and black theme!

Hi Luisa,

My parents just left London having safely delivered our wedding photos. I just wanted to say an enormous thank you from Matt and I (and our families). The photos are absolutely beautiful! They are exactly what we wanted – really relaxed and comfortable. You really captured the joy of the day and everyone has commented on how natural they look. It was lovely to have you with us on the day and you are obviously skilled in getting the best out of people (including my wild nieces).

I understand why Bernie and Katie and Dominica and Sam were so quick to recommend you. We will be doing the same!

We lurrrrrrrrrrrve the photos. Fabulous job!!! It will be tough choosing which to print… luckily my vanity will help exclude a small number…but there are so many that we love. We really enjoyed reliving the experience this evening in our lounge room via your pictures.
